VB-CABLE Virtual Audio Device


My main Windows PC was broken and no longer boots,
so the notetype Linux PC was promoted to main PC.

The sound card in my Windows10 PC does not have the stereo mixer.
So, I installed a virtual audio device called "VB-Audio Virtual Cable"
in this PC, and tried to decode 9k6 signal of ELFIN-A using SDR# and
hs-soundmodem21.




Set as Default Device "CABLE Input" and "CABLE Output" in the tab
"Playback" and "Recording" of Sound settings on Windows10. Then the
received signal can be decoded by the soundmodem software. However,
I cannot hear the reception sound input to PC.
This is my problem to be solved. (See bottom.)




All the related folders on Windows10 should be set to "Full control" as
follows. This [folder] = SDR#, Orbitron, Soundmodem, Agw_Online_Kiss, etc.

Right click on the [folder] -> Properties -> Security -> Users
  -> Edit to change permissions -> Users -> Check "Full control"

I was finally able to hear and decode the reception sound from Satellites
in SDR# by installing "VB-Audio Virtual Cable" and "VBRedirect" software
even if PC doesn't have the stereo mixer.
