Lake Union.
In the film, "Sleepless in Seattle", around here, there was a yacht harbor where Sam Boldwin acted by Tom Hanks had his house.

The second day :
We joined the "Twin Peaks tour". Click here, If you want to know the details.
After the tour, we had a late lunch at a Chinese restaurant in China Town. There, We had "Yamucha". Next, we went to Uwajimaya and Kinokuniya to kill time. Finally, we went to the Saefco Field to see a baseball game which would start at 7 o'clock.
We had bought the day's ticket through Ticketmaster using the internet. When I picked up our tickets at the will-call window, the attendant asked me, "Do you have any relationship with a baseball player?" "What?? Why did she ask me such a strange thing?", I wondered. However, I found out the reason, after I saw my cousin laughing. Then she said, "She thought that you are one of the Mariners' Sasaki's relatives, because your name is 'Sasaki'" Ah! Now, I understand!

During the "Twin Peaks tour", the tour guide took us to the Sorrento Hotel
featured in "Sleepless Seattle", Meg Ryan appeared at this hotel.

The Saefco Field on August 11th of 2001. That day, Ichiro garnered one hit of five. However, this one hit was valuable, because the Seattle Mariners caught up with the Chicago White Sox at the second half ot the 9th ining.

The third day :
We had planed to fly to Victoria, Canada using a Cessna plane to have afternoon tea behaving like English people do! However, it was the weekend, so all flights were already full. We could use a ferry, but we thought that there were still many places to see in Seattle, so we decided to see the city of Seattle too on the third day.
"Firstly, let's go to the University of Washington." We looked for the correct bus stop to get there, but couldn't find it. Therefore, we walked towards the university. Actually, we wanted to use a bus or a taxi when we found one. But, after a while, we began to feel uneasy, because we saw only sprawling roads. There weren't so many buildings in this large space.We wanted to take a taxi, but we couldn't find one easily. Occasionally, we saw a taxi, but, it drove too fast for us to stop it. We decided to go to a hotel to take a taxi. Finally, we found a Holiday Inn, but there weren't any taxis there. Oh!! Soon, luckily, a taxi was approaching. We saw the passengers getting out of it and asked the driver, "Can we get in?". The driver said, "Where are you going to go?", so we answered, "The University of Washington." However, he shook his head to say no. Oh no! We felt so tired.
We understood that we couldn't take a taxi or bus easily in Seattle. Oh no! we felt so tired.
Reluctantly, we began to walk towards Lake Union again. Some minutes later, we caught sight of lake in the distance. Wow! The view raised our spirits.
Lake Union is a place where Sam Baldwin's yacht was harbored. We saw a couple who seemed to be very happy with their relatives in the yacht harbor. Probably, they were going to hold their wedding party there. Wow, wonderful!! We got lucky because we had been walking, didn't we?
Soon, we found the correct bus stop to go to the University of Washington on the opposite side of the road. About 15 minutes later, we eventually got on a bus. I was really tired because I had a heavy jet lag, so I soon became sleepy. I thought that the final stop was the University of Washington, so I nodded off without any anxiety. However, we didn't get to it after riding for a long time although it was supposed to take about 10 minutes. The scenery had changed. We saw many houses from the window.
However, we knew that we couldn't take a taxi or a bus easily from the day's experience, so we decided to go to the final stop.
The bus continued to run and didn't seem to stop. We thought that the situation was becoming worse and worse. At last, I stood up and approached to the bus driver.
I said, "We were going to get off at the University of Washington, but we seem to have missed it. What should we do?"
"Keep your seats. The bus will go back soon. "
Therefore, we finally arrived at the university after more than 1 hour. Feeling so tired..

There were many flowers and wonderful trees in the grounds of the university. Before getting there, we had already got tired, but the atmosphere of university changed our feeling and made us relaxed. We had taken so much time to come here, but we were finally satistied.
