There is the place called "Hell Valley". It is an explosion crater. You can see the fumaroles and the welling up of a hot spring.

Shiretoko

One of the World Heritage. Wild animals, drift ices. It is far, but it is worth to visit as well.
Best season : summer.

Rishiri & Rebun Islands

Small islands. Take a ferry from Wakkanai. Island of flower and seafood, and good place for hiking.
Best season: early summer.
