Early in the morning, I was awaken by the cold temperature. However, when I got up at around 7 o'clock, the weather was fine and the temperature became warm. I felt that the temperature in Scotland during the summer between morning and night, and day time was very different. I felt so in England too. Therefore, even if you think you don't feel cold without a jacket during day time, I think that you should take one.
That day, the first thing we did was to walk around the town a little and after checking out, we went to a river and a dam. We saw some hares near the river. We wanted to take their pictures, so we approached them quietly. However, we couldn't because they ran away so quickly as if they could hear even a slight sound.

The reason why we decided to visit Pitlochry was that we attracted by the wonderful scenery we had seen in some guidebooks and pamphlets which I got from the British tourist information centre in Japan. They say that the best view point is from Queen's View, which is some minutes drive from Pitlochry. It is said that Queen Victoria came here on many occasions and fell in love with this stunning view--hence the name. If you stand in Queen's View and see the scenery, you will understand.

Queen's view-(B8879)-Blair Castle
Next, from Queen's View, we drove back a little and went to Blair Castle. John P., my English teacher, told that he had a happy memory, visiting there with his family when he was a child. Blair Castle is a impressive white building. There's no comparison between Blair castle and Bramar Castle, which we visited the previous day. The original castle was built in 1269. Today, the Duke of Atholl owns the castle. He is allowed to have his own troops, which is the only private army in the country. Thirty two rooms are open to the public. By the way, some oxen which had strange-looking horns are kept in the grounds of the castle.

Next, we drove to Fort William and Glencoe. We arrived at Fort William at around 4:15. We decided to stay there for one night because we thought that it wasn't possible to go to Glencoe after sightseeing the town of Fort William.
The proprietor of the B&B which the tourist information centre had intruduced to us was very kind and cheerful. The room was very clean and the bed sheets smelled good, so Both of us had a comfortable refreshed sleep.

On the way to the B&B, I saw a boy fishing with his father. I wanted to take their picture without them noticing, so unfortunately, they only appear on the left edge of the picture.

Fort William looks like a small city. We saw a pretty girl doing a Scottish jig(right) while we had dinner at a restaurant which the proprietor of the B&B had recommended.

There were a lot of foreign travellers(actually I was one of them) at the restaurant. In happy harmony, a little girl began to dance. After that, a rather large female singer sang
some country songs.

I mistook  the "roast breast of chicken", which the proprietor of the B&B talked about as being roast beef. Therefore, when I found out that there was no roast beef on the menu of the restaurant, I was very disappointed because I was expecting to have some tasty roast beef. However, the chicken was actually delicious.
