Protest the subcritical nuclear tests

On December 8, just after the UN General Assembly accepted the resolutions calling for the abolition of nuclear weapons within a set time-frame, Russia carried out a subcritical nuclear test and the US followed on 12.

Hidankyo sent protest letters to both the governments and took actions with Hidankyo members in Metropolitan area. Many Prefectural Hidankyo members also protested the tests in their places.

On December 25, Hidankyo sent letters to the Russian government and the US government denouncing their series of subcritical nuclear tests and a plan of the US to resume to produce Tritium for making Hydrogen bombs.
