Event for the nuclear free 21st century was held on July 18.

In the hope of creating the nuclear free 21st century, an event was held on July 18. This event was arranged by the secretariat for the Appeal "Let's hand down the lessons of Hiroshima and Nagasaki ".

Ms. Hideko Matsuya, the plaintiff of the A-bomb Matsuya Lawsuit, fighting for the recognition as an Atomic Bomb disease patient at the Supreme Court, talked her A-bomb experience and asked participants for support.

Not only Hibakusha but primary school girls, high school students, university students and young workers made an appeal for the abolition of nuclear weapons. The participants also enjoyed listening to horn performance and singers'songs.

"The A-bomb and Humanity" exhibit in Marseilles, France

On June 21, "The A-bomb and Humanity" exhibit was held in Marseilles, France, where the World Cup Soccer Tournament was being held at that time.

The group members, who visited France to attend soccer game tournament, which youth organizations arranged and was supported by the Youth and Sports Minister of France held the exhibit.

After the members played soccer, they exhibited the photos in order to make an appeal to other participants from other countries for the nuclear abolition. Hibakusha visiting the US
