- Allan Chapman: "The Victorian Amateur Astronomer" (1)
Mr T Tsunoda, a Society member, showed at the February meeting Japanese translation of Dr A Chapman's book. It is a big challenge for the Society to make the most of his translation work.
- Reproduction of 7ft Herschel Speculum (5)
Contribution by Mr Y Ogane, a Society member, who challenges to reproduce a metal speculum. Mr Ogane concluded the story in this issue, before he bring the metal speculum with him in Herschel tour to UK in March.

- A word to celebrate 20 years of HSJ
A message from Mr S Morikubo, a Society member, to celebrate the 20th anniversary.
- Created works - speculum & cloisonné works - to be brought toEngland
Works created by the Society members are to be brought to UK in Herschel tour scheduled from 17th to 22nd March. Mr Y Ogane made the metal speculum sized the same as Herschel discovered Uranus with. The speculum is to be set in the tube of the replica telescope in Herschel Museum, Bath. Ms N Iizawa created a new cloisonné work on the subject of the total solar eclipse observed in the Antarctic in 2003. The cloisonné work is to be displayed as special exhibition at Slough Museum from 1st to 28th April.
- Toranomon Astronomers' Centre celebrates three years activities
The 3rd anniversary party of Toranomon Astronomers' Centre was held in 24th January.

"World of Nobuko's Art" in Slough Museum
Following the exhibition in July 2003, "World of Nobuko's Art" will be held in Slough, a place remembered in connection with Herschel, as well as Bath. The exhibition place is Slough Museum, the exhibition period and time are 1st to 28th April, except Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, from 11:30 to 16:00. Exhibits added to what displayed in the previous Bath exhibition are Sculptor, Triangulum Australe and Circinus, Apus, Crux, etc., and Christmas roses and wild strawberries.
The exhibition will include her latest work which brilliantly depicts the shadow cone of the total solar eclipse observed in the Antarctic in November 2003.
