Kiba Parade is the national heritage from Edo era. The parade is done to protect Onbashira.

Nagamochi means big box, was used for carrying lunch boxes for Onbashira worker.
100 Nagamochi were gathered, and each group enjoyed its gay performance.

The first day's trip from Shimekake to Harumiya which is called the late
Nakasendo, was fine. The 1st of Harumiya  came down to village and set to
stand up. Old fork song "Kiyari" tells us this is the way the huge tree becomes
to God. Many traditional parade are used to be shown along side the street
to Akimiya.  The second and third day were rainy all day. But all the Suwa
villagers who tried to keep their skill and treasures for 6 years, did not care
such rainy weather. People never stop smiling .  Man on the top of the pillar
never scared. He stood straight on the pillar plunging his fist up to the heaven.
The visitors from outside of Suwa area, had no seat to rest, on the other hand,
villagers gather at the " Oyado", the open seat alongside the street.
There are 390.000 people gathered to Shimosha-Onbashira in 3 days. It was
7.000 less than the previous festival (1998).
