Carillon de Longpont クリスマスキャロル集。聖歌隊の合唱の合間にオルガン独奏が挿入されている構成だ。第一声を聴くと，自然な量感のある明るいトレブルにほっと心が和む。発声の特徴として，全般に声と一緒に吐き出される空気の量が多いのだが，その空気がかなりの湿気を含んでいる。その湿気た空気がこの聖歌隊の声の量感につながっているようである。たっぷりとした素直な歌い方のトレブル，少年の声を活かすためか少し控えめな男声，シンプルなアレンジ等々…全般に素朴でクリスマスのCDらしい。少年達が頬を染めて，真っ直ぐに歌う様が目に浮かぶような良心的な音色だ。5.「I saw three ships」等，曲によっては量感がありすぎて重く感じる場合もあるが，2「A way in a manger」のように，メロディー・歌詞ともに素朴な美しさが際立つたぐいの曲には，心がこもっている感じが出てむしろ良い。甘すぎず，硬すぎず，いかにも素直に成長した少年達の声という感じで，一般に日本人が"ボーイソプラノ"という言葉から思い描く音色に割合近いのではないだろうか。(by Rise) 2000/01/23 up |
