トラベラーの目的は何か?時間とエネルギーを理解し自在に操ることができる人間を探すこと?どうやらウェスリーがその探している人間のようです。探し当てた喜びに、思わずミスを
して謎の宇宙にきてしまったということですね。

P: | What's happening? |
Cr: | He's unconscious again. |
P: | Revive him. |
Cr: | Whatever you need from him, you'd better get it soon. |
R: | If I may suggest, sir, our first leap out of my galaxy was, as he said, a mistake. |
P: | Unless he was distracted by something. |
R: | And it weaked him in some way, resulting in incredible leap out of here. |
K: | Theory. |
P: | Do you have any facts that fit this? Can you get us back? |
K: | Wait, Captain. Not so fast. We have an opportunity here for scientific discovery. |
P: | And we report our observations how? To whom? Can you get us back? |
Tr: | I will try. |
P: | Number One, take him down to main engineering. I will be on the bridge. |
We: | No. He's very weak. |
Tr: | I think the Captain is right. We must hurry. But first, I request a moment with the Captain alone. |
P: | Strange how he seems to care for you. |
Tr: | He'll forget me in time, which is as it should be. It's Wesley I wanted to speak to you about. |
P: | The boy? |
Tr: | It's best you do not repeat this to the others, especially not to the mother. Whatever happens, it is imperative that it proceed naturally. |
P: | I must get my ship back. Do we have time for this? |
Tr: | Oh, yes. He and a few like him are why I traveled. You have it in your power to encourage him without interfering. |
P: | Encourage him in what? |
Tr: | How shall I explain? Are you familiar with the intricacies of what is called here music? |
P: | Somewhat. |
Tr: | Such musical genius as I saw in one of your ships' libraries, one called Mozart who as a small child wrote astonishing symphonies. A genius who made music not only to be heard but seen and felt beyond the understanding, the ability of others. Wesley is such a person. Not with music, but with the equally lovely intricacies of time, energy, propulsion and the instruments of this vessel which allow all that to be played. You're right. I must be hurry now. But you are right in something else. He is just a boy for now. He should be encouraged, but told none of this. |
P: | We've got to get back home. Take him to main engineering. |
R: | Yes, sir. |
P: | I'll be on the bridge. |
R: | Yes, sir. |
C1: | Ah, ha, ah... |
P: | Put it out! |
C1: | How? |
P: | Think! Put the flame out in your thoughts. |
C1: | Ah, ha, ah... |
P: | Now, get to your station and concentrate on your assignment. |
C1: | Yes, sir. |
