| Ge: | In every way. Microscopically, thermally, electromagnetically. None of it is familiar. |
| R: | What about you, Troi? |
| De: | Sir, I've avoided opening my mind. Whatever I felt in the Groppler's office became very uncomfortable. |
| R: | I'm sorry, Counselor, but you must. We need more information. |

| R: | Hang on. I'm coming. Enterprise, lock us on to her signal. I'm sorry. Close your mind to pain. |
