R: Ensign, could you help me find Commander Data? I understand he is somewhere on this deck.
En: This way, sir. You must be new to these galaxy class starships, sir? Tell me the location of Commander Data?
Co: Lieutenant Commander Data, now located in Holodeck area 4-J. And as you can see, sir, it's pointing you that way.
R: Thank you.
En: You're welcome, sir.

R: Thank you.
Com: You're welcome, Commander Riker. And if you care to enter, Commander.
R: I do.
R: Halloooo!
Da: Marvelous. How easily humans do that! I still need much practice.
R: There's some puzzles down on the, down on the planet that the captain wants answered. He suggested that I take you with me on the away team I'll be leading.
Da: I shall endeavor to function adequately, sir.
R: Yes. When the captain suggested you, I looked up your record.

R: And your rank of the Lieutenant Commander is honorary?
Da: No, sir. Starfleet class of '78. Honors in probability mechanics and exobiology.
R: But your file says you're a ...
Da: A machine, correct, sir. Does that trouble you?
R: To be honest, yes. A little.
Da: Understood, sir. Prejudice is very human.
R: Now that does trouble me. Do you consider yourself superior to us?
Da: I am superior, sir, in many ways. But I would gladly give it up to be human.
R: Nice to meet you, Pinocchio. A joke.
Da: Ah, intriguing.
R: You're going to be an interesting companion, Mr. Data.
Da: This woodland pattern is quite popular, sir. Perhaps because it duplicates earth so well. Coming here almost makes me feel human myself.
R: I didn't believe these simulations could be this real.
Da: Much of it is real, sir. If transporters can convert our bodies into energy beam then back to the original pattern...
R: Yes, of course. And these rocks and vegetation have much simpler patterns.
Da: Correct, sir. The rear wall.
R: I can't see it.
Da: We are right next to it.
R: Incredible.
We: Commander Riker! Commander Riker, isn't this great? This is one of the simple patterns. They've got thousands more. Some you just can't believe.
R: Careful, the next rock is loose. Wesley!
We: Wow!

R: Mr.Data has agreed to join me on the away team, Captain.
P: Very good, Commander.
We: Sir, maybe I should get something to wipe this water up.
P: Good idea.
P: My clue and I need more information before we could make our recommendations to starfleet.
Z: No objections to that. But I'm puzzled of you bringing Bedazoid to this meeting. If her purpose is to follow my thoughts.
De: I can sense only strong emotions, Groppler. I'm only half Bedazoid. My father was a starfleet officer.
Z: I have nothing to hide, of course.
P: Good, since we admire what we see in your construction techniques. Starfleet may be interested in your constructing starbases elsewhere also.
Z: We're not interested in building other facilities.
R: If I may, captain. Then a trade, Groppler, so things you need in return for lending us architect engineers who could demonstrate your techniques.
Z: Bundid do not enjoy leaving their home world. If starfleet cannot accept, that's more weakness. Then, we will be forced unhappily, to seek an alliance with someone like the Ferengi.
P: Councelor. What is it?
De: Do you wanna describe it here, sir?
P: Yes. No secrets here, we'd be all friends. Agree, Groppler?
Z: Obvious, we have nothing to hide, of course.
De: Pain, pain, loneliness, terrible loneliness, despair, I'm not sensing Groppler, sir or any of his people, but it's something very close to us here.
P: The source of this, Groppler, have you any idea?
Z: No, no, absolutely not. And I find nothing helpful of productive any of this.
P: And that's it. No other comment?
Z: Oh, what are you expecting ?? respect(?) of us. We offer your base to design to your needs, luxurious by even in human standards.
P: Why are you evading even our simpliest questions about it? We'll adjurn for now. While you all reconsider our positions.
Z: Captain! The Ferengi will be very interested in the base like this.
P: Fine. Let's hope you find you're tasty as it did past associates.
