--- Christie's Collectors' Car Exhibition and Auction

1. I run into a showcase at Rockefeller Center. There are many classic cars. Later, I find an article about this issue in The New York Times May 19 edition. This is the Christie's Collectors' Car Exhibition and Auction. Finally I got it! "Christie's" is an organization which holds auctions. Its Web site is here.

2. Many people are looking at with interested.

3. All these cars are very expensive, aren't they? I wonder how much the amount all of them is... Well, according to The New York Times, a 1936 Rolls-Royce Phantom III will be sold around $80,000 to $120,000. Wow!

May 19, 2002 --- Astoria Spring Festival in Ditmars

	1. What a beautiful day today! As I am at near Twin Donut having a morning coffee, my apartment super comes in by chance and tells about a street festival in Ditmars today. Wow. I like a street festival, and haven't seen it during winter. I'm excited to see it! Ditmars is in Astoria, Queens, the last stop of Subway N train.

	2. Ha, ha, ha! This is the first one I laugh today. What's this? And when I look at them carefully, there are some meaningful figures... But, if these are something spiritual figures, I'm sorry I laugh.

	3. Vendors are selling many interesting goods.

	4. Victoria's Secret? 4 for $10...

May 27, 2002 --- Broadway Astoria Festival

1. Even though I knew that there would be a street festival on this Broadway today, I'm so surprised that a swing ride is on the street! Phew!! This Broadway is not the one in Manhattan. It's in Astoria, Queens as well as Ditmars.

2. There are more atractions here. Do you see that the right above one is a merry-go-round?! So good. If I were a kid, I would be delighted at playing here. You are lucky, kids.

3. Many people who are my neighbors.

4. Wow, wow, this Italian sausage looks very good, doesn't it? My mouth is watering...

5. And, many kinds of foods. Right above: "SIDO"? Something foreign langauge of soda? Far right above: "FRESH SQUEEZED LEMONADE" Right below: "ASADERO COLOMBIA" Far right below: "CORN"

6. "Panties!!" The sign stresses it with "!! (double exclamation marks)" Wow. $2 each, and 3 for $5.

7. So pretty wood plaques.

8. Singing people and working people. Right above: As I see him later, they are two. Far right above: He shows how works his "SUPER SHAMMY," and his show works to many consumers. Far right below: Chinese massage. It's common at street festivals.

9. I'm surprised again. Bonsai! It's one of traditional cultures of Japan. Is it popular in New York?

10. Aw! Kids are riding on ponies! Oohhh, If I were a kid... A free local newspaper, The Queens Gazette May 29 edition takes this festival as an article on its front page! See the site here.

May 27, 2002 --- A Street Festival on Madison Avenue

	1. At the same day, another street festival is going on Madison Avenue. This is in midtown in Manhattan, between 42nd St. and 57th St.

	2. Wow! This is the same one as last year. Hey, Po Ram and Jung Hyun, do you remember this?

	3. Pictures of New York's. About one third, or one half of them are World Trade Center's ones.

	4. There are various foods here, too. Far left above: "ORANGE JUICE" Left above: "TACOS BURRITOS FAJITAS QUESADILLAS" etc. Far left below: "THAI FOOD $1.00" (!) Left below: "CHICKEN ON PITA, SHISH KABOB, CHICKEN KABOB"

	5. Huh??? Bruce Lee, cartoons and Indian woman? What category is these T-shirts? (But nobody cares.)

	6. I wonder this owner has been in a wild life like Tom Sawyer (by Mark Twein).

	7. Gasps! How beautiful and precise these postcards are! The sign says, "They are all made with real flowers!!"
