1. I ride on the Amtrak train for the first time, to New Jersey. Its station in New York City is called Penn Station, at 34th Street in Manhattan. Notice: In July 2003, I realize that this is PATH (Port Authority Trans-Hudson), not Amtrak. I am now finally getting well in New York! |

Late March thru Early April, 2002 --- Spring has come | |
1. Finally, spring has come! It's getting warmer little by little in the past few weeks. On March 27th, people are sitting on the fountain edges in a site of midtown, eating or chatting in the sun. |

2. On April 1st, a tree at my college campus entrance is in full white blossom. |

3. And, this is the blossom's close-up. It's cherry blossom. |

4. It's in the City Hall Park, which is located in lower Manhattan. |

5. Again, its close-up. This is a magnolia. Now, let me say thank you so much who told me these plants' names! I couldn't figure out anything without your help. |

6. In midtown, across the street from the Macy's department store. |

7. Lovely flowerpots on the Macy's side. |

8. Its close-up. They are daffodils and hyacinths. |

9. It's the milder spring sky... The building at the center is the Empire State Building. |

10. The temperature is 58 degrees at that time. (The highest record of today was 60 degrees) People would like to stay outside again. The fountain is out because of New York's drought emergency rules, or may always be out... |
11. On the morning of April 3rd, I take this picture near my apartment in Queens. It's very warm. It's already 64 degrees. |

12. There are promenades and a neighborhood park here. People are talking, and kids are playing with slide, swings, or a ground. (Can you find them?) |

13. The close-up of the blossoms and plants which are in there. The yellow one (right above) is forsythias, and the purple one (far right above) is magnolias again. |

14. Here is another side of the City Hall Park in lower Manhattan. There is a fountain, too, but it doesn't work either. |

15. People are sitting and taking a rest. At around the noon, the temperature recorded the highest of today, as surprisingly 77 degrees! Whew, it's hot! Hot-hotter-hottest! At around 2 p.m., it's still 73 degrees high. |

16. How admirable we can see such a beatiful scenery at an ordinary street! It's on a corner of Chambers Street and Greenwich Street, very close to my college, BMCC. |

17. I love these flower beds. |

18. Only 2 hours later, it suddenly begin to rain! The temperature rapidly drops to 59 degrees by 4 p.m. around. What a weather! It's crazy! ...That's spring. |
