doppler.sqf Hint for SatPC32 #1

Re: Does a reliable source of updated SQF files exist?

I, JE9PEL, completely revised the original doppler.sqf file.

If this latest version of doppler.sqf doesn't work on SatPC32,
the cause is the names of some satellites in this file, then
change them to the satellite name used in AMSAT-NA.

So, the name of the bird in both the kep and doppler file
must be identical for each line.

Q: New Satellites have no frequency in SATPC32?

Hello AMSAT Members using SatPC32 V12.10,
I downloaded a new DOPPLER.SQF file created by JE9PEL.
It had HADES-R listed, then I added the new HADES-ICM that just launched.
In SatPC32 upon selecting HADES-R I do not have a frequency showing up in
the CAT Tuning dialog box, so the rig does not have a frequency to use.
2 images are attached.
Please advise what I am doing incorrectly and how to fix my error.

Fwd: New Satellites have no frequency in SATPC32?

Edit your DOPPLER.SQF file to make "HADES-R" into "HADES-R (SO-124)" with
space and brackets.
The name in the SQF file must match EXACTLY the name in the "KEPS" file.

HADES-R (SO-124)
1 62690U 25009CK 25072.77625944 .00053236 00000-0 24194-2 0 9990
2 62690 97.4164 154.3958 0001998 56.5003 303.6423 15.20558374 8769

Re: Fwd: New Satellites have no frequency in SATPC32?

Just a completion:

There is a little tool "CreateAmsatNames.exe" in the SatPC32 program
folder. The tool is self-explaining. If a new satellite that you want to
work is contained in the Keps file nasabare.txt - as allmost all of the
sats used by radio amateurs- you simply need to run
"CreateAmsatNames.exe" and save the aux. file AmsatNames.txt via 2
mouse clicks. That adds the satellite's name, identyfication number and
registration number to AmsatNames.txt (SatPC32 menu ? > Auxiliary
Files). The program will then work with the sat regardless of it's name
in the source file. So, the sat will then also run with all other source
files that use names different from the names in nasabare.txt, eg.
Celestrak source files.

You can also create a short handy name for the sat and the program will
then use that name with all data files that require the satellite name
(Doppler.SQF, Prior.SQF etc.)

I have described that and the easy solution in the FAQs file (fig.1c)
