" The silence and tension in the architecture" I said before as a spirits of Zen is applied
to ANDO's concrete architecture. At first sight it looks very novel but the two-dimensional
design and its tension, and attraction of simple design with vertical and horizontal elements
we can see in "the church with the light" is perhaps an application of elements of Japanese
traditional architecture.
