Christie Cottage
Cresswell Place, SW10
The theme of my 2005 trip was Agatha Christie. For the first time in about
10 years, I went to see her popular play, gMousetraph and visited Torquay.
After that, when I dropped in a bookstore, I found gTHE LONDON BLUE PLAQUE
GUIDEh by Nick Rennison. It introduces many houses in which a lots of
famous people such as authors, actors and actresses lived. Their names
are listed alphabetically. Of course, I could find Agatha Christie in the
book. Therefore, I suddenly decided to visit her houses.
In the book, two houses are introduced. One is a house in Cresswell place
between Groucester Road and South Kensington. After walking from Brompton
Road into Cresswell Place, you can see a quiet residential district. Then,
just before Cresswell Place intersects with another road, you can see a
house with a red roof. This is the Cristie Cottage(the top picture).

The second house is in Sheffield Terrace between High Street Kensington and Notting Hill. It is a detached house while the Cristie Cottage is seim-detached.@
