Trip to Scotland
in the summer of 2000

the 6th day

The 6th day
The 6th day was our last day in Scotland.
We had thought that our breakfast would be continental, but the waitress asked us "Which do you want ?", and said, "You can choose whatever you want to eat.". We were overjoyed to hear that. I asked her for everything I wanted, so my breakfast became a very substantial Scottish breakfast like a picture below! Wow!! Greedy as I was, I had ordered too much, so I actually had didifficulty eating everything.

We stayed at Bo'ness the night before, so we walked and saw the town of Bo'ness a little before we went to Edinburth. It looked like a small and calm town, but when we went to the sea, we found the smoking chimneys of factories far away.

Then, we drove to Edinburgh again using the A904. We went shopping on Royal Miles and walked around the Grassmarket. Actually, before I visited Scotland, I didn't know about Charles Rennie Mackintosh from Glasgow, who was one of the great creaters . However, when I came to Edinburgh and saw some goods which he had designed. I was really fascinated by his delicate creations. I thought that I would buy some goods as a souvenir, but on the first day in Edinburgh, I couldn't decide which one I should buy because I liked too many of his things. The sixth day was the last day in Scotland, so I thought it over and finally decided to buy some goods.

At around 1 o'clock, we left Edinburgh and drove to the airport. After that, we flew to Heathrow taking the 3:15 flight. London was our last destination of the trip.
