Ta: Lieutenant Yar of security, sir. Captain Picard will see you on the battle bridge.
R: With the saucer gone, can I assume that something interesting happened on the way here?
Ta: Battle Bridge. That's for the Captain to explain, sir.
P: Do we have clearance?
Da: Aye, sir, into standard parking orbit.
P: Make it so.
Ta: Commander Riker, sir.
R: Riker, W. T., reporting as ordered, sir.
P: Is the viewer ready?
Ta: All set up, sir.
P: We'll first bring you up to date on a little adventure we had on our way here, commander. Then we'll talk. Welcome aboard.
Ta: This way, sir.
Q: Thou art directed to return to thine own solar system immediately. Go back or thou shalt most certatinly die. You can't deny that you're still a dangerous, savage child race.
Da: Message from the saucer module, sir. It will arrive here in 51 minutes.
P: Inform them we'll connect as soon as they arrive. And send the commander to me when he's finished.
Ta: Yes, sir.
Q: And four hundred years before that you murdered each other in quarrels over tribal God images. Since then there are no indications that humans will ever change. There are preparations to make. When we next meet, Captain, we'll proceed exactly as you suggest.
R: He calls that a little adventure?
P: Come.
R: Not exactly run-of-the-mill happening, Captain.
P: It seems we're alive only because we have been placed on probation--a very serious kind of probation. Go.
Da: The saucer module now entering orbit with us, sir.
P: Acknowledge. Commander Riker will conduct a manual docking. Picard out.
R: Sir?
P: You've reported in, haven't you? You are qualified?
R: Yes, sir.
P: Then, I mean now, Commander.
Da: You say you will be doing this manually, sir? No automation?
R: As ordered. Velocity to one-half meter per second. Adjust pitch angle: negative three degrees. Watch your roll angle, Conn. All stations, prepare for reconnection. Thrusters to station keeping. All velocities, Zero. Her inertia should do the job now. Lock-up...now.
