友人でもあり、飛行機操縦を教えてもらったMattyから依頼を受けた
McCone。Mattyの恋人が息子を残して突然いなくなったのだ。彼の過
去はMattyすら全く知らなかった。

捜査を進める中、Mattyが曲芸飛行中に墜落死する。誰かが飛行機に
細工したらしい。

さほど面白くない作品でした。これはシリーズものかな？シリーズ
ものなら登場人物がやたら多いのも仕方がないかもしれん。しかし
それにしても、事件に関係のない人が多く出てきて困る。その分、
主人公たちの性格描写が雑になる。
