gU Stageh is the theatrical group based in Nogata, Nakano in West Of Tokyo and which is lead by Mr. Yasushi Shimazaki under the following his motto.

gOur performances are not only enjoyed by restricted people who already knew us, but to be opened and shown widely to both local and other societies.h

We have always considered to bridge between the importance of our show and its valued audience since we have launched as a group named gFubou Gekijyoh in 1981. We have also contemplated thoroughly what the main source completing its performance successfully, is truly performerfs own effort bringing to the perfection.

Although the group has renamed it to gU-Stageh in 1993, yet we have not changed its principle. Instead, as freshen up with a new name, we have evolved one step to explain the aspect of it. Furthermore, each of our acts should be looked at carefully and teach ourselves how powerful we can use them to build strong relationships both between different races and people in the world.

Since the successful show of gLost Ballh at Wiz (Nogata District Theatre) in 1993, we have been playing at many events opportunities conducted by Nakano District Council in Tokyo. In order to perform within the local society, we have been trying to ease an uncertainty of relation between local people and our entertainment in view by our local government. These performances and gChindonh (Marching on street) later helped bridging its relations and we became to be recognised and positioned as the gNogatafs U-Stageh.

To achieve widely, we then intended to entertain more and more events outside of Nakano, such as religious exhibition at shrines in rural deep mountains to bring many spirits back to the villages where populations are decreasing.

We are interested in building new relationships as such mentioned, and including the new project called gUK Street Performance Tourh this year that based whole of United Kingdom. This should indicate our performance would be acting much beyond than its theatrical presentation but to bridging many of aspects by time to time.
