ピートとよく似たパワープレーで、それを大型化したタイプの、まさに好敵手でしたね。ピートはよりスピーディー・軽やか、ベッカーはよりパワフルで重量級という感じで、1995年ウインブルドン決勝は「牛若丸と弁慶みたい」なんて思ったものでした。

この２人は対戦を重ねる内に親しさを増したようで、引退後に一緒に出たゴルフ大会では、ピートはやんちゃな弟のようにベッカーに甘えて？いたとか。基本的には違うタイプの人柄だと思うんだけど、ウマが合うんですかね。
