6-1. Ayutthaya Excursion

First, Ms. Koh and I ate breakfast at 6:00 AM. Next, I asked a concierge to reconfirm our flight. Then, We went to Authors' Lounge at 8:00 AM. We reserved a full day Ayutthaya excursion two months before. We rode on a bus to go to Ayutthaya. The guide was a nice young lady.

6-2. Sightseeing of Ayutthaya

Ayutthaya was the old capital of Thailand. There were many ancient ruins in the city. Ayutthaya Historical Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
We visited "Wat Phra Si Sanphet". It was used as the royal chapel. It was destroyed by Burmese conquerors.

After that, We visited "Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon". There was "the Reclining Buddha" in a garden.

6-3. Bang Pa-In Summer Palace

We moved "Bang Pa-In Summer Palace" by bus. "Phra Thinang Aisawan Thippa-at" was a classical Thai architecture. It was beautiful. There were many unique buildings in the palace. Topiary was very pretty.

6-4. The Oriental Queen

We got off the bus at a pier. We boarded luxury boat, "the Oriental Queen".

We ate lunch buffet. I ordered "coconut cooler" (in the right of photo, 140 Baht). It was cocktail of rum, cointreau, lemon juice, pineapple juice and coconut milk. It was good. After meal, I went out to the deck. The river wind was cool. The boat arrived at the Oriental Hotel pier around 6:00 PM. We returned to the room at the hotel.

6-5. Kao Pad

At 8:00 PM, I ate room service dinner at the room. I ordered "kao pad" and tea (568.70 Baht). The taste was very thin.
