The original reason behind the receding hareline pages: Way back when he was the Hare Razor, Slimie Limie would bug the hashers of KFMH3 every three or four weeks to volunteer to hare over the next month or two. Before he did that, so as not to impose on the same hashers time and time again and risk burning them out, SL would list up the last six to 10 hares. Hashers not on that list were harassed first followed by those on the list in reverse order. The list then went onto SL's desk and into the black hole it pleases him to call his "filing system." It was rarely ever seen again. The next time hares were needed, he made a new list.

"This is not efficient", declared SL in a rare moment of tea-induced lucidity, "Why not put the list on the Web site and update it after each run?" The last few hares were duly put up. This was early in 2010, so few hashers made the list. So 2009 hares were added. By now the tea was totally taking over (thanks Tetley, you're the best in the world!), and 2008 was put up. Then SL was amazed to find, deep in the dark reaches of his apartment, the decomposed body of an hard-copies of Hash trashes from 1994 to 1999 and 2001 to 2003. So runs 1 to 115 were added. There are gaps here and there where records were not made or were subsequently lost. Archived Web pages and regular eTrashes to date supplied the rest. (Once again hashers, never underestimate the value of a good Hon Sex who keeps the Pack up to date. Along with Hash Kash, the job is not sexy but without their efforts the kennel would be a poorer place.)

Note that only numbered and announced runs are recorded so far. Frequently at an overnight hash a hare will step forward and lay an impromptu trail. These aren't official but still take the same effort to do. Being credited for such is not unreasonable, so send dates to SL and they will be added.

Although the best care was taken during the compiling of these lists, mistakes may have slipped in. If you see such, contact Slimie Limie with details and they will be corrected. (Note: Be specific — supply dates and names. The whine, "But I thought I'd hared muuuch more often than that...." will be rewarded with copious Down-Downs next Circle!)

If anyone has the names of hares for runs where such information was not found, email SL and the list will be updated.

You may be wondering about the odd year divisions. Yup, "up to 2000" and "2000 to date" or similar would have made sense. That was tried but resulted in huge file sizes and boring rows of leading dashes for future years and trailing dashes for hashers who started haring only in recent years. Also, a five-year spread keeps the file under 50 KiB so pages can be loaded quickly on even smart phone operating on low-bandwidth signals.

So that's it. No intention is meant to glorify some hashers efforts over others or show un-hash-like displays of gargantuan achievement. However, if you do wonder why a certain hasher's name is missing from the list in recent months, feel free to go ask them next run WHY they haven't hared in an eternity!

Ok, you can go back and peruse the list now. Once you're done, be sure to volunteer to hare!
