More information on http://www.amsat.org.ar?f=6 Pehuensat owns her name to native patagonian tree 'Pehuen'. Pehuensat-1 is developed by Argentina School of Engineering at University of Comahue, Argentina Asociation for Space and Technology and Amsat Argentina. Weighing 6 kg, is intended to gain experience for designing more complex missions for educational, technological and scientific fields. http://www.isro.org/pslv-c7/pg10.html Keps and passes click globe & location on http://www.amsat.org.ar . C. (9W2QC)" Date: 2:11, 20 Jan 2007 Dear All, This evening (19th January 2007) at 2222 hours Malaysian Standard Time or 1422 hours UTC, I had a 62 degree pass of Peheunsat-1 over West Malaysia. As I was in the shack during the pass, I decided to track this satellite and am pleased to report a successful reception of Peheunsat-1. Below are three voice recordings heard on 145.825 MHz +/-: http://www.9w2qc.net/peheunsat/voice-1.mp3 http://www.9w2qc.net/peheunsat/voice-2.mp3 http://www.9w2qc.net/peheunsat/voice-3.mp3 Unfortunately, the audio level of the 1200 baud packet was too low, and I did not manage to decode anything. I have the complete pass recording in wav format, if it may be of use to anyone. Equipment used were ICOM IC-910H, 10 Element 2M yagi, SSB SP-2000 Preamp. Thank you and have a nice weekend to everyone. 73, Sion Chow Q. January 28, 2007 To All RADIO AMATEURS BID: $ANS-028.05 http://www.amsat.org/amsat/ftp/news/ans.new Engineer Jorge Lassig, director of the Penhuesat Uncoma project informed amateurs that the satellite takes between 48 and 72 hours to charge its batteries, due to the inadequate position of the nosecone to which it is still attached in reference to the sun. Once the batteries are recovered, the satellite transmits during several orbits until they discharge again causing the onboard computer to set the system in safe mode, leaving just the oscillator on. Folks at Uncoma are evaluating when the nosecone will change its position in space to improve the battery charging process of Penhuesat. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: [amsat-bb:96691] PehuenSat-1 heard and recorded in Japan From: "Mineo Wakita" Date: 22:04, 30 Jan 2007 PehuenSat-1 145.825 MHz Voice & AX.25 1200bps AFSK Jan 30, 20:50-21:03 JST, 2007 Jan 30, 11:50-12:03 UTC, 2007 Max ele, 69.4 deg http://www.ne.jp/asahi/hamradio/je9pel/70130peh.wav 1819 Kb, 82.5 seconds, RS59 + 40dB ---------------------------------------------------------------------- PehuenSat-1 Telemetry Analysis: http://www.ne.jp/asahi/hamradio/je9pel/pehuens2.htm
