(C)LuxSpace, ARRL Manfred Memorial Moon Mission Nation: Luxembourg Type: Lunar fly-by, amateur communications Operator: LuxSpace Lifetime: 8 days Mass: 14 kg (payload only) Frequency: 145.980 MHz Mode: JT65B Launch: 17:59 UTC, 23.Oct.2014 Sites: Xichang Space Center (Songlin), Sichuan, China LuxSpace's 4M mission or Manfred Memorial Moon Mission is a low-cost mission of opportunity to perform a lunar flyby. The spacecraft, named in honour of the late OHB-System founder Manfred Fuchs, will be part of the last stage of a lunar mission, due to be launched end of october 2014. 4M is mounted in the equipment bay of the third stage of the CZ-3C/G2 (LM-3C/G2) (Chang Zheng-3C , Long March-3C) launch vehicle. The spacecraft features following equipment: * Primary power source: 28 high energy density, non-rechargeable cells, guaranteeing the nominal mission whilst providing 6W to the main payload and the experiments, * Secondary power source: 2 × 8 Triple layer solar cells and 4 × Li-Ion rechargeable cells, * On-board Computer, FM430 and interface board, * I/Q modulator, * RF power amplifier, providing a nominal 1.5 W into the antenna, * Quarter-wavelength antenna, * RAD experiment for radiation dose determination on the trajectory. The trajectory will be a lunar flyby and return to Earth, with 90% chances of re-entry in the atmosphere . The 10% remaining chances lead to a very interesting orbit. The nominal mission duration is 8.17 days. The Lunar flyby will occur about 4.04 days. During flyby, the distance to earth will be about 399636 km at most and the distance to the Moon will be between 12000 and 24000 km depending on the final injection vector. The 4M spacecraft will transmit continuously on 145.98 MHz with a 1.5 W power input at antenna which is a simple monopole. The transmission will start 77.8 minutes after launch. The amateur radio payload will transmit a JT65B signal, which can be decoded by radio amateurs. I think the problem might be the batteries. Not sure if they last another week. At the moment we have 13.8 - 13.9 volts. 73 Mike DK3WN Location : Mineo (139.7'30" E, 37.56'15" N) Time zone : UTC Conditions : Maximum sun elevation = None Minimum sat elevation = 1 deg Illumination NOT required Time Satellite Azm Elv Mag Range S.Azm S.Elv ------------------------------------------------------------------ 06.11.2014 10:42:43 4M 145.9 1.0 243563 278.0 -36.3 06.11.2014 14:19:28 4M 183.8 14.0 233952 355.1 -68.1 06.11.2014 17:53:17 4M 222.8 1.0 227326 78.8 -39.9 07.11.2014 10:24:39 4M 112.7 1.0 190216 274.6 -33.0 07.11.2014 16:05:55 4M 187.9 42.3 174252 52.0 -59.4 07.11.2014 22:01:18 4M 270.1 1.0 167464 117.5 -7.5 08.11.2014 10:13:03 4M 60.1 1.0 151999 272.5 -30.8 08.11.2014 18:31:49 4M 10.2 86.7 143171 86.1 -32.8 09.11.2014 09:36:30 4M 354.6 1.0 162377 266.6 -23.8 09.11.2014 11:42:13 4M 8.3 1.0 165659 288.6 -48.2 10.11.2014 01:11:25 4M 354.5 84.4 185782 158.4 -32.2 10.11.2014 09:51:52 4M 313.8 1.0 211308 268.6 -26.9 10.11.2014 19:15:11 4M 58.0 1.0 232729 93.3 -24.6 11.11.2014 02:47:35 4M 176.1 71.6 243765 185.8 -34.5 11.11.2014 09:45:19 4M 287.5 1.0 264894 267.4 -25.8 -----Ursprungliche Nachricht----- Von: Mineo Wakita Gesendet: Samstag, 1. When I calculate using the updated TLE, 4M is not easily come back to Earth by passing through the distant. My antennas is poor ability, so it's difficult to capture the signal from 4M. 4M-TLE Update 1 99999U 14999b 14301.79728009 .00000095 00000-0 21252+9 0 00005 2 99999 054.2430 068.8530 4827223 051.3941 131.1729 00.05703448000012 JE9PEL, Mineo Wakita SDR#, 4M-LXS
