Re: New FO-29 Solar Graph From: Frank Wiesenmeyer To: Mineo Wakita Date: Tue, 6 Jul 2010 07:54:00 -0500 Enclosed is an interesting pair of Solar Array graphs from two days almost exactly 24 hours apart. Notice that when the solar array output dropped suddenly, the battery voltage dropped .74 V. The battery continues to discharge during use even with as much as 1200 mA of solar array output. Unfortunately, I was not up early enough to catch the entire pass today, but I gotthe most important part when the big drop in solar array output occurred.

Re: FO-29 solar 7-14-10 From: Frank Wiesenmeyer To: Mineo Wakita Date: Wed, 14 Jul 2010 07:55:04 -0500 Enclosed is a new graph of FO-29 solar array current showing the now familiar sudden jump in current. I have only two ideas for what causes this. First, it may indicate a dead area in one of the solar panels. Second, there may be some unusual solar illumination, where the sun is illuminating an area where there is no solar panel such as the bottom attach fitting. Idid not see this type of pattern a year ago, so something has changed. I would be very interested in hearing what you or other users in the satellite community think about the subject. Thank you for your interest in sharing these results with others who are interested in FO-29.
