Today I could pick up some CW telemetry pieces. I used TLE for OBJECT J (NORAD 31126). At 18815 UTC I picked up k5usl 3000004000004e ie tir (last characters in higher speed) ..d00ffff00000000e it. I decoded also the mp3 file of Mineo (JE9PEL, posted in AMSAT-BB) This was bad audio quality but could read the following: Mineo abt. 1210 UTC k5usl .ffffe2e0e1e1e003ffe ie tsr k5usl 3000700...300e ie orx I will listen carefully to the next pass over europe (2020 UTC - overhead pass). Part of the problem is that we don't know exactly where CAPE-1 is located. TLE's are available on W0RPK's website http://showcase.netins.net/web/wallio/CubeSat.htm about half-way down. We managed to hear a weak signal starting about 435.254 MHz and ending around 435.237 MHz tracking object #31126. We've obtained some information that CAPE may actually be a little behind this one even, but we're not sure. The satellite is transmitting CW and 9600 baud G3RUH, but currently we are primarily interested in the SSB CW. Also, if you have the capability any recordings are more than welcome. Recordings can be sent to jonathan@..... If the recording is too large, send me an email and we'll figure out how to get it across. The CW beacon we are looking for the most is the beacon 1 which gives us an idea of battery health. The telemetry format is available at http://ulcape.org/wiki/CAPE1_Telemetry There are a few audio examples at DTUsat's webpage http://www.dtusat.dtu.dk/index.php?id=94 The second file labeled Unknown.wav is what the G3RUH data sounds like in SSB mode and has been confused as the letter N. After that signal ends, the next CW beacon is about 10-20 seconds away. The satellite is transmitting at 435.245 +/- doppler. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Again any recordings or decoded telemetry can be sent to me at jonathan@..... -- Jonathan Wagner, KE5FSG bottom top ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: [amsat-bb:97876] Re: CAPE-1 Tracking From: G0MRF To: amsat-bb Date: Wed, 18 Apr 2007 16:38:55 EDT Cape ! just passed over Europe. From: Jonathan Wagner To: Mineo Wakita Cc: amsat-bb Date: Thu, 19 Apr 2007 09:18:56 -0500 Mineo, We were able to hear CAPE using the P-POD C kep predictions for tracking. However CAPE was trailing even those and we were able to get a stronger signal by going to manual control and correcting from the calculated az-el. Hopefully we'll have better tracking information soon. Thanks for tracking CAPE. You were one of the first solid reports we received. We think 31122 (OBJECT F) is P-POD A with CP4, Aerocube and Boeing's cube. Tethers Unlimited's MAST was detected using tracking information for 31126 (OBJECT J). OBJECTS L, M and N are believed to be the P-POD B group CAPE1, Libertad1 and CP3, but no good contact has beenmade tracking these. A station in Denmark reported hearing something from the L/M/N cluster but nothing decipherable. If anyone on here has time and a station set up for tracking, any help finding the cubes is greatly appreciated. The latest we were tracking was an older version of this TLE. 1 31129U 07012N 07110.22204978 .00000384 00000-0 10000-3 0 102 2 31129 098.0841 185.3550 0102972 204.2636 155.3680 14.51906202 399 Jonathan Wagner, KE5FSG ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: New CubeSats sound From: Mineo Wakita To: JE9PEL blog Date: Sat, 21 Apr 2007 22:30:43 +0900 Libertad-1, 17.04.2007 2119UTC, 437.405MHz, 1k2 packets http://www.dk3wn.info/sounds/libertad_17042007_2119.rm PolySat CP4, 18.04.2007 1056UTC, 435.325MHz, SSB CW http://www.dk3wn.info/sounds/cp4_beacon.rm CAPE-1, 18.04.2007 1210UTC, 435.245MHz, CW and 9k6 FSK http://www.ne.jp/asahi/hamradio/je9pel/70418ca1.mp3 CAPE-1, 18.04.2007 1835UTC, 435.245MHz, CW http://www.dk3wn.info/sounds/cape_cw.rm CAPE-1, 18.04.2007 1835UTC, 435.245MHz, 9k6 FSK http://www.dk3wn.info/sounds/cape_9k6.rm CAPE-1, 18.04.2007 2200UTC, 435.245MHz, CW http://www.pe1itr.com/satellite/cape1_pe1itr_18april2007_2.wav ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: [amsat-bb:97933] CP-4 decode From: Mike Rupprecht To: amsat-bb Date: Sat, 21 Apr 2007 22:07:06 +0200 All, could decode CP-4 beacon at 19:29:10 UTC uses NORAD #31122 leading cw: FGEA 1k2 FSK frames: ctrl: 3 {UI} PID: F0 {No L3} Total Frame Bytes: 23 from N6CP to N6CP: 04 43 4F 4D 4D 20 42 .COMM B ctrl: 3 {UI} PID: F0 {No L3} Total Frame Bytes: 112 from N6CP to N6CP: 01 49 0C 0B 14 0B B4 02 04 03 72 B6 75 C0 CB 34 21 02 9E C9 69 62 C2 C2 0C 09 08 B9 40 4A 50 BE B3 02 01 03 A8 35 E6 DA C5 AF 00 00 03 87 7D CD C0 00 05 B8 9B B8 B9 C2 10 0F 0C 03 02 78 89 87 BA BA 8B C7 6A F3 FE FF A9 EC 8B C7 6A F4 00 00 49 EF 03 01 00 00 66 26 08 62 01 29 2B 2B 5C F3 73, Mike DK3WN ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: [amsat-bb:97935] Libertad decode From: Rob Hardenberg To: amsat-bb Date: Sat, 21 Apr 2007 23:22:06 +0200 (CEST) All, I just could decode libertad-1 at 21:18UTC and could 2 packets.
