Latest Books

The fourth and fifth books about my garden railway published in 2008 and 2009 (only Japanese)

Last run in Bentengaoka Short Line

The last run in Bentengaoka Short Line was 8th May. The magazine "Sotokoto" interviewed to my garden railway.

The green and flower were blooming with the last glory and made the beautiful memory. The Bentengaoka garden closed, saying good by with many thanks.

Removing of track

The tracks were dismantled and carried by AB10 work train to the front of the garage.

The tracks waiting for carriage and the view in the forest after removing the tracks

Small locomotive

45mm gauge live steam small Climax by Catatonk, that was obtained by the auction, is the great detail loco.

16mm scale Edward Thomas came from UK by Mr. Hoshino, and Busy Bodies figures

Rail bus of E-train series by Faller, old clockwork Swiss locomotive of O gauge, and Regner's new live steam Fanny with vertical boiler and single oscillating engine

Gyro monorail

I described the article "How to build the simple gyro monorail" for the magazine TMS No.812.
Mr. Kozo HIRAOKA, who is the big name in the world of live steam, drew all drafts for my article, and it is the honor on me.

Mr. Teruo INOUE acquired the old tin toy gyro monorail modeling from Brennan's prototype in about 100 years ago.
And he is building the gyro monorail according to my design of experimental model No.7. This one still can stand upright.

I have received a lot of mails, message, comments about gyro monorail directly or into my YouTuve site.
Mr. James Roberts, Vice President of American Unirail Inc. made contact with me, and we are discussing about the gyro monorail.

And some of my friends are building the gyro monorail models as in the following;

Mr. Peter Healey in UK tested his twin gyro stabilizer. He used the potentiometer and 8-bit PIC microcontroller for servo motor controlling the gimbal. His web site is here.

Mr. Mukashitombo built a simple mechanism single gyro monorail without servo motor which can be seen herein.(only Japanese)

Mr. Noriyuki KOIKE described his twin tandem gyro monorail in the page 1 and the page 2, in which VTR head rotors are used as gyro wheels. (only Japanese)

I am very happy to see their success on gyro monorail, because they have proved the right of the theory on gyro stabilizer developed by Brennan that I have explained.

Carrying into new land

In next estate for construction of Akubi Lightweight Railway, the new house has been built, and the tracks and locomotives were carried into there.

New hobby room and new workshop

Some of my collections of live steamer are displayed in the shelf of new hobby room, and my lathe and tools set in new workshop.

Construction of new line

Tracks were placed on the ground in new estate before the track construction, and Stationmaster Pascal inspected them.

The new estate for Bontenzaka Short Line is about five times larger than the previous garden of Bentengaoka S.L.

Stationmaster Pascal

Stationmaster is weak on hot summer, so he is much pleased at the cool climate in the area.
