No.19 loco DB81 running in the west garden under the evening sunshine

The curve in the northwest corner on the wooddeck is the sharpest (R=3m) in main line of Bentengaoka L.


Porchside Line


Aileen, 16mm scale side tank live steamer, working on the Porchside Line

Building of steam tram


The project of building steam tram began last month by using a vertical boiler and one cylinder stationary engine.


Fire grille and ash pan built with stainless steel for vertical boiler


Kaowool and wood scantling wrapped around the boiler for insulating and brass bands set on them


The chassis of tram, and setting the engine and boiler


The regulator valve and blower valve set on the boiler top, and the completed for driving system


Test of steam up and running


Test steam up was carried out, and the tram running well towing the trailer with one person


The gear ratio of this loco is 1:4, and I think it is the appropriate setting.


The test was a success. but water tank and hand pump is not regular one but temporary.

Pink Shay


No. 20 loco Pink Shay, Michigan-California #2, in the forest


This loco use charcoal, so smoke is not seen usually. This photo obtain after getting one coal into fire room.


Through the crossing in the forest, Shay going on the ground with the play of sunlight


It is very good condition and the sound feels better after adjustment of gear alignment
