[1] Is the Seagrass Planting Mitigation Appropriate?

1. At an experimental transplanting site for seagrass, machinery is used to cut square-shaped seagrass plugs from donor sites to transplant to recipient sites.

2. After a while, the transplanted seagrass are washed away by tides and waves.

3. The result is that almost nothing remains.

4. The big question is: Does this look OK?
An Environmental Committee set up by by the government has affirmed that these techniques for transplanting seagrass are appropriate, with just minor adjustments.(January30.2002)
