X-32A is one of the Concept Demonstration Aircraft of JSF(Joint
Strike Fighter) developed by Boeing
Company. The Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Program is the Department of
Defense's focal point for defining affordable next generation strike aircraft
weapon systems for the Navy, Air Force, Marines, and US allies. The focus
of the program is affordability -- reducing the development cost, production
cost, and cost of ownership of the JSF family of aircraft. X-32A (conventional
takeoff and landing (CTOL) version ) tookoff at September 18, 2000 on it's
first flight. X-32
is a unique shape airplane. It has thick delta wing, large air intake
like a opening mouth, and tall body.
How to manufacture X-32A
Download the drawing and print it on thick paper. (Refer toMaterial
and Instrument.) Set up your printer for thick paper.
Cut the paper according to the thick line. Cut and assemble by numerical
order. Fold up as dash and dot line " _ . _ . _" , and fold down as dash
line " - - - - " . Dihedral angle of tail wings is 58 degree. No balance
weight is needed.
Adjustment
Bend down front edge of main wings slightly as a bow shape to make
camber. Bend up rear edge of main wings slightly. For fine pitch trim,
bend up or down rear end of tail wings (it works as V tail.)
