KAWASAKI T-4

Kawasaki T-4 is a jet training plane of Japan. Almost parts, including jet engine and avionics, of this plane are made in Japan. Japan Air Self Defence Force(JASDF) use T-4 since 1988, and the BLUE IMPULSE, aerobatic team of JASDF, use T-4 since 1994. T-4 has good stability and maneuverability at low speed to even subsonic. Maximal speed of T-4 is Mach 0.9, which is faster than similar training planes. Sawtooth shape of main wings is called "Dog tooth" and it makes small vortex to increase airflow stability at wing tip.

How to manufacture T-4
Download the drawing and print it on thick paper. (Refer to Material and Instruments.) Set up your printer for thick paper.
Cut on solid thick lines.
Start with the body of the jet. Before assembling, fold up as dash and dot line " _ . _ . _" , and fold down as dash line " - - - - " . At first, fold vertical tail fin 1 , glue and dry. Paste vertical tail fin at inside of body 2. Do not paste frontal tip of vertical fin (1a) yet. Tab 2a is sticked on the main wing after main wing is attached on the body. After folding, open and cover back side of jet in paste or glue and re-fold. Fold nose cover over nose of jet and attach with glue. Cut out the catapulting hook.
Attach main wings to top of body. Dihedral angle of main wings is 6 to 7 degrees. Stick tab 2a on the main wings. Stick 1a to rear of cockpit. Attach the horizontal tail fin. No balance weight is needed. (lead-free policy)

Adjustment
Bend down wings slightly as a bow shape to make camber. Check symmetry of wings and vertical tail fin. Spray paint thinly if fly outdoor. Form washout (decrease angle of incidense at wing tip) at the tip of main wings to avoid tip stall and to incrase stability.
Fly T-4 as "How To Fly".
