Ki: Not having any luck. Tuvok read the navigational logs. It wasn't wrong. He wanted to make sure we didn't get out of here.
Ne: Neelix to Bridge.
Ja: Go ahead.
Ne: Captain. I can't be sure, but I think I was just taken over by the alien and I've done something very strange. I re-aranged the stone on the medicine wheel.
Ja: If it's Chakotay, maybe he's trying to tell us something. Mr. Kim, activate sickbay visual relay 16 and put it on the view screen.
Ki: Aye, Captain.
Ja: What is it? What does it mean? Is it a code? A message?
Pa: Or a map?
Ja: Computer, overlay a stone map at the nebula on the current view screen image.
Pa: Stones in the same positions as those three planetoids. Chakotay must be using them to point the way out.
Ja: Mr. Kim, lay in a course to take us along a line connecting those three planetoids. Engage.

?: Shields failing. The alien's penetrating the hull.
Ja: Mr. Kim, report.
Ki: We're passing the third planetoid now, Captain. The dark matter density is steady. Reading a normal space ahead.
Ja: Bridge to Torres. Transfer all remaining power to thrusters including life support.
Ki: We cleared the nebula, Captain. Main power coming back on line. Shields at full strength. Hull integrity normal. The alien beings are not pursuing.

Ja: Captain's log: Star date 48735.9. We have returned to the coordinates where we ejected the warp core, and have successfully retreated. Now we're hoping the doctor would be able to successfully re-integrate Commander Chakotay's consciousness.
Ja: Did it work?
Do: It did appear so. Commander, can you hear me?
Ch: Yes. I'm a little dizzy, but I think I'm all here.
To: How did you manage to integrate his consciousness?
Do: It involved 3 neuro-transceivers, 2 cortico-stimulators, and 50 giga quartz of computer memory. I will be happy to take his process, but it would take at least 10 hours to explain all to you. Needless to say it was a remarkable procedure. I would consider writing a paper about it. There are a covenient forum which would publish it.
Ja: What happened, Commander?
Ch: After the attack on the shuttle, I had a sensation of flowing above my own body. I thought I was dead.
Ja: And when the shuttle returned to Voyager, you were still disembodied?
Ch: Yes. I couldn't speak. I couldn't touch anything. Then I found if I concentrated on someone who's in the room with me, I could share their conscieness. At first I can only do little things with the host's body. Push buttons. Work a console. As time was on, it became easier to do more. Sorry I had to knock you around, Tuvok.
Tu: No apology is nessesary.
Ja: Good job, Commander. And welcome back.
Ch: To be honest, I feel I can be left.
