| B: | Can you convince him to give up his free time? |
| Ja: | I think I might be able to. Janeway to Kim. That's odd. Computer, locate Ensign Kim. |

| Tu: | Sensor logs show no record of any unauthorized transporter activity and all shuttle craft are accounted for. If Ensign Kim left the ship, he did not do so by conventional means. |
| Ch: | His last shift ended 4 hours ago. And he was scheduled for a(the?) time on holodeck 2 when he went off duty. No one's seen him since. |
| Ja: | Scan the holodeck. What's the matter? |
| Tu: | There is(?) significant interference in the holodeck. I cannot obtain a clear scan. |
| Ja: | Is it the system malfunction? |
| Tu: | I do not believe so. |
| B: | Commander. |
| Tu: | The holodeck is definitely active. It appears to be a program in progress. |
| Ch: | Can you shut it down? |
| Tu: | Manual override is not functioning. I cannot terminate the program. |
