Year 2000 has just begun. I hope that the years in 2000 are good and nice ones for you. There were many bad and unhappy news in Japan in '99. Japanese economy has not recovered the damage of bubble from '85 to '90. During about 10 years Japanese economy had been bad economic condition. So many Japanese lost their jobs and some of them killed themselves. Though this is not a suitable story for New Year, it is real for Japanese. But I have not lost my dream. If most Japanese think ourselves more modestly and accept the reality that we had made mistakes, Japan will be able to overcome this hard time. Of course it is very difficult to recover but it is not impossible.

This is Kumade(a bamboo rake : If translating it into English directly it is "a bear hand"). Kumade is for raking up fallen leaves. It has been used from old time in Japan. Upper one is a miniature of Kumade for raking up happiness, luck, money and so on. The hopes that many people have are different from each other but the mind who want to pray is same.
Any way be well during this year and free from car accidents.
