Notes
This is a recording of the benefit concert held on September 14,
'99 at Central Park in NY. This CD holds14 songs without interuption,
but 22 songs were played in the actual concert, divided in two
parts. The first half with Sheryl's band only, while in the latter
half, Sheryl played with her "friends".
This album starts with Everyday is a Winding Road which was actually
the first song of the part two, after the introduction by Bill
Murray. Seven of the other songs are with friends. They are:
Dixie Chicks (on Strong Enough)
Stevie Nicks (on Gold Dust Woman)
Chrissie Hynde (on If It Makes You Happy)
Keith Richards (on Happy)
Sarah McLachlan (on The Difficult Kind)
Eric Clapton (on White Room)
On the last track, Bob Dylan's Tombstone Blues, all artists play together.
This will surely be a milestone in Sheryl Crow's career. She sounds merrily and seems enjoying herself as she played with the artists who influenced and inspired herself. Simply put, this is Sheryl Crow at the best.
