Notes
This compilation album with the performances from famous artists
on the popular talk show, Late Show with David Letterman, has Sheryl's live version of Strong Enough. It's from Feb.16, '95 and the sound is similar to the Unplugged
version (without Bill Bottrell). Sheryl as always plays accordion
here and the chorus from Roy Scott Bryan is conspiucuous.
This CD includes other memorable perfomances such as: Paula Cole's I Don't Want to Wait; Elvis Costello and Burt Bachrach's God Give Me Strength, prior to their collaboration on the next year's Painted from Memory; Funny How Time Slips Away with Al Green's smooth voice; You Were Meant for Me from Jewel and Red Hot Chili Peppers's Flea from the period right before her extreme success; Unplugged-era Rod Stewart's Reason to Believe. Aretha Franklin's soulful performance cannnot be underestimated either.
Each performance is connected with audience's cheerful voices and claps, which makes listeners feel as if they are before the joint concert by these top artists.
