       Pileus 4-13 cm : Stem 5-12 x 0.4-2.0cm Pleurocystidia thin wall and not hooked at apex. Cheilocystidia abundant, Pileipellis hymeniderm, Clamp connection exist. Habitat: beech tree log in September This may be close species to P. ephebeus, which has darker pileus, no clamp connection, terrestrial habitat.
