Activities of the Herschel Society of Japan

The Herschel Society of Japan was established in 1984 and will celebrate 19th anniversary this year. Many people who are willing to pursue astronomical interests through Herschel, as well as professionals and amateurs who support Japanese astronomy, join the Society. The Society also conducts international exchanges with the William Herschel Society (http://www.williamherschel.org.uk/) in UK where Herschel lived, and with the people who are related to the Herschel family.
