Residenz Square (Residenzplatz) This is the square in front of the Residenz formerly used by Salzburg's prince. The Residenz Fountain in the middle of the square is the largest Baroque fountain. The square appeared when Maria came to the Trapp Family from the Nonnberg Convent. |
| Horse Pond (Pferdeschwemme) The Horse Pond is located near the Festival Hall. |

| Monchsberg stone stairs The mountain behind the old town is called Monchsberg. The Monchsberg stone stairs is in the top of Monchsberg. Visitors can take a lift up the stairs. Maria and children practiced "Song of Do,re,mi" in the Monchsberg stone stairs. |

| St. Peter's Cemetery (Perters Friedhof) The cemetery is next to St.Peter's Abbey. The Trapp Family participated in the Festival escaped from the Nazis, went to the Nonnberg Convent. In the last scene they hid in the St.Peter's Cemetery. |
