From Monthly Paper "Hidankyo"- April

Exhibition of "Atomic Bomb and Humanity"

HIDANKYO has prepared panels, titled "The Atomic Bomb and Humanity" which are to be exhibited in various places of Japan . (Please refer to HIDANKYO recent movemet .)

A set consists of 40 panels, each of which is formed by photos and testimonies of Hibakusha and is the size of 51.5cm and 72.8cm.

At the moment, collecting photos is quite hard task but the panels will be completed in June.

We make 1,000 sets of the panels so that the exhibitions will be held in different places.

All cities, towns and villages in Mie Prefecture have made declaration of non-nuclear.

Since last summer, HIDANKYO of Mie Prefecture has worked on authorities of towns and villages which did not have any declaration against nuclear to make it.

In reply to the proposal, autonomies of 8 towns and villages made declaration in last December, then other 11 towns and villages proclaimed in March this year.

As a result, 69 all local autonomies in Mie Prefecture have declared against nuclear and of living in peace.

In other words, all citizens of Mie Prefecture have indicated their will of eliminating nuclear weapons to the inside and outside of Japan.

At the point of the end of January, 2,238 local administrations which correspond to about 70% of all in Japan made declaration of non-nuclear.
