No.30 and No.28 locomotives on the new line, Biwa-kyo Short Line.

Service on new line

The name of new line is "Biwa-kyo" Line. The length of endless track is now about 400m, and will be 500m in this year.


In summer, the forest garden is in the shade.


No.28 loco Whitcomb runs with coaches.


No.28 loco is the strongest in Akubi L.R. It seems to be 7.25inch locomotive, but 5inch.


The first photo shows the new shed, and the other are the guest house in the garden.


No.30 loco

No.30 loco is Jet locomotive. It runs by gas turbine engine.

Open day

The open day was carried out in summer 2015 with the thirty guests were invited.


Small live steamers

G scale side tank by unknown maker, Regner Betty, Hunslet by Finescale Engineering, and Hunslet by ELR Engineering.


Scratchbuilt saddle tank, scratchbuilt steam tram, and scratchbuilt Stirling engine locomotive.


Accucraft K-27, Accucraft new Shay, Geoffbuilt old Shay, and 7/8inch scale Ducauvile by unknown maker.


Hunslet by unknown maker, O gauge Garratt, Accucraft new steam tram, and 7/8inch Sea Lion from Track Shack.


Roundhouse Darjeeling Garratt, gauge 2 steam car by unknown, scratchbuilt Breuer Switcher gauge one, G scale scratchbuilt side tank.


Small steam up

Darjeeling Garratt running, gauge one scratchbuilt BR05 of live steam, and K-27 running on new layout in the garden.


Gyro monorail

The new experimental gyro monorail No.12 with balancing servo motor controlled by Raspberry Pi. The test running was successfully carried out on a rail of 5inch track.


Building Jack again

I had built 7/8inch scale Jack in Jan. 2014, but am building same locomotive again reading the article on Garden Rail magazine.
