Through autumn to winter

The first photo above is the new commemorative badges of Akubi Light Railway.
The second photo shows the garden in late October, and third is Bontenzaka station in November.

The maple trees turn to yellow or red as shown in the first photo.
I burned the fallen leaves on the garden ground everyday in November and December.
The last photo shows Bontenzaka station after all leaves fell in late November.

Ordinary service

No.28 loco Whitcomb was running under yellow maple tree. The ground was covered perfectly with fallen leaves.
The third photo shows Assistant stationmaster driving Whitcomb in late December.

No.29 loco Railbus running in autumn and winter garden.

No.12 loco AB20 and No.2 loco AB10 double-header train running in snow garden in January.

Flying Banana

The railcar called Flying Banana was built from the kit by Garden Railway Specialists.
I purchased it as part built, so truck and driving unit was scratchbuilt for 45mm gauge.
This kit is old version. the third photo shows the interior seats.

After painting, it ran on the track in the garden.

Strange locomotive

This strange comical model, I got as part built, is about 7/8inch or 1inch scale.
The first photo shows it after painting surfacer white, and the second is after painting enamel maroon by brush.
The third shows the scratchbuilt chassis, drive unit, and dummy cylinders.

The strange locomotive ran well with 7/8inch scale figures.
But it can not run around track because its smokestack is too high against to the bridge upper beam.

Small size live steams

The two Shays are both by Aster Hobby in Japan.
The first and second photos are G.C.& E. Shay, three trucks and three cylinders, 45mm gauge, gas fired, got as secondhand.
The third and fourth photos are Alishan Shay, two trucks and three cylinders, 45mm gauge, gas fired, built from new kit.

The former two show Accucraft's 7/8inch scale Hunslet, that is my friend's locomotive, but two figures are mine.
The latter two are G scale Solario 4-6-2, I got as almost junk and repaired, meths fired old model.

The first photo shows Accucraft's Dora, new low price model, gear drive by oscillating engine, 45mm gauge, gas fired.
The second photo is Aster's Light Mikado, 45mm gauge, meths fired.

I have long wished for this model, Peter Angus's Taliesin, 16mm scale single Fairlie.
It is gear drive by oscillating engine unit as like Climax, so the front cylinders are dummy.
As this beautiful Taliesin ran well, so Stationmaster and Assistant stationmaster were fascinated.

German locomotives

The former two show Koppel type big locomotive, I think it is 1inch scale, pot boiler with gas fired.
The latter two are Rappingen Model's Gernrode 0-6-0, G scale gas fired, 5ch radio controlled model.

These three locomotives, BR53 0-6-0, BR17 4-6-0 and BR23 2-6-2, are thought the products by same maker of Koppel mentioned above.
Three are all with pot boiler, gas fired and very light weight because of thin stainless steel structure.
they were well running but difficult to steam up in the wind because of pot boiler and open type burner.

It is not live steam. The first and second photos show Billerbahn, old tin toy series in Germany.
Most Billerbahn locomotives are clockwork but these are electrical. I got as Junk and repaired.
The third photo is gyro monorail, new product of science toy from Germany. It can stand right by gyro in 2 or 3 minutes.

Clockwork and motorized

The first photo shows solar battery Railstar, scratchbuilt with candy box, 45mm gauge.
The second photo shows clockwork working diesel, scratchbuilt by using Mecamo clockwork unit, 32mm gauge 7/8inch scale.
The third photo is candy can locomotive, built by using Tamiya gear box and motor, 32mm gauge.
The last photo is 16mm scale 32mm gauge Heisler, someone built, I had seen it in "16mm Tooday" Magazine.

The first photo shows yellow German tram, someone built with wood but body only, I install driving unit, G scale, 45mm gauge.
The second photo is tin toy tram, motorized with Tamiya gear box.
The third and fourth photo are tin toy old steam tram, motorized too, 45mm gauge.

Fan car and Cleaner car

The experimental 5inch gauge fan driven car was scratchbuilt by using candy box and gear down motor unit of old radio control airplane.
In first, It ran by 6V normal battery, and adding radio control system with 7.2V Nicad battery.
Further building the brake system shown in the fourth photo to more high-speed running.

Coal fired Robert

16mm scale coal fired Robert was built from the kit by DJB Engineering.
The photos above show complete boiler, engine, chassis, etching brass board for body, and chassis under construction.

The first photo shows it after assembly before painting, and second shows the painting works for pieces.
The third and fourth are completed model after painting.

The test steam up and running were carried out successfully.

3/4inch scale Jack under construction

I got a part built chassis of Jack, 3/4inch scale 32mm gauge, model of little Hunstet.
The first photo shows the main rods and eccentric rods built from steel board.
The second is completed rods, Walschaerts valve gear (the engine and wheels are by Roundhouse).
The third photo is scratchbuilt manifold for intake steam pipe to cylinder valve chests.

The first photo shows exhaust pipe from cylinder to smokestack.
The second shows setting the boiler, burner and lubricator that are from Accucraft's Ruby.
The cab under construction and the card board mock-up of smoke room are shown in last photo.

Stationmaster and Assistant stationmaster

The brothers are always together in the house, in the car, and in the garden.

Stationmaster Pascal is slow walker and thoughtful for anything.
Assistant stationmaster is activity and shyness.

White scenery

Pink and blue sky over the white (the both are seen from my den).

In this winter, the snow is very little, so I never worked in snowplow yet.

Next A&B report would be in April. All are waiting for spring.
