Late summer has come in Bontenzaka garden and brought the shade under sparkling sunshine.

Track construction

The construction to reduce the grade of track was carried out from the late of April to the middle of May.


About 2ton soil were transported from high portion to low portion, and the steep grade became to be gentle as shown in the upper last figure.


Special Openday

The 12th Special Openday was carried out in 14th May. Many railway modelers visited to Bontenzaka Garden and enjoy together.
In the first photo, Mr. Hosino, Mr. Sato and Mr. Inoue looks Mr. Sato's gyro monorail. The second photo shows Mr. Inoue's gyro monowheel.
The third photo is Ms. Inoue's flying battleship Musashi. And last photo is Mr. Hoshino's lovely toy locomotive.

The first and second photos show Mr. Yamakawa's automatic O gauge layout with turn table.
The third photo is Ms. Sato's 5inch Kyosan 0-4-0. The last photo is Mr. Sugiura's 5inch Baldwin 0-4-2.


Service in Bontenzaka Line

The first photo shows AB10 and AB20 double-header train with tippers for track construction.
The second is No.4 loco Deki-3 that is the scale model of Choshi E.R.
The third and fourth photos show No.9 loco Plymouth with well wagon to carry the soil for sowing of lawn in the garden.


The first photo shows No.19 loco DB81 with crane wagon and large well wagon.
The second is No.3 loco Goose that is the scrutchbuilt freelance model. The third is No.1 loco Work diesel.
The last photo shows DB81 train on the bank with lawn sowed to reinforce the strength of bank.

Small locomotives and rolling stock

The first photo shows Indian locomotive ZDM1 by Paul Industrial Company.
The second is Brandbright Boxer, and the third is AnDel Models O & K MD2.

The photos show the caboose built from Ozark Miniature kit and Old unknown clockwork locomotive toy.


Wood chopping and shed

Some trees were cut down to construction of my house in the year last before, and they were chopped for firewood in this spring.
The firewood shed was built by the layout of small gauge.

Structure construction

The wooden swing was built and set in the center of the garden, that is 2500mm high and 1700mm wide.


The photos show the overpass bridge under construction. In future, this portion will be the main station of Bontenzaka Line.


Building more Tracks

In the front of the workshop and garage, the track construction carried out to build more sidetrack and to extension of main line.


Building longer main line

By extending the line to the west of garage, the endless main line became about 300m long and the total track length about 340m.

Stationmaster and Assistant stationmaster

Assistant stationmaster Hecto and Stationmaster Pascal are together at any time.
Hecto is five months old now but the photos above were taken in about three months old.

The photos show Hecto and Pascal in a morning stroll, Hecto on the deck of Starbucks cafe, and their nose to nose.
Now Hecto is 8kg weight and Pascal is 11kg, and their long and height are almost same.
