Lively season for garden railway


The shots from riding on the train of AB10. The sunshine is bright and the wind is comfortable.

Forth try of Koppel


A new blower made of rolling brass sheet using by compressor, and Koppel waiting by the porch


The condition began to be better than in last test, but the blower efficiency is not sufficient.

Special open day


The forth A&B Special open day was carried out at 12th May. Mr. Inoue driving his Railbike on A&B line.


About 20 modelers joined from a long distance. Mr. Hoshino driving his small loco, and Mr. Kozo Hiraoka sitting on the right in above left photo.

My steam tram and Mr. Inoue's one running together, both move by manometer's compressor and oscillating engine.

Boiler and chassis of Shay


T-type brass boiler for 5inch Shay arrived from GB, and the chassis of it almost completed by Mr. Kiuchi


Improving of switch machine


I decided to improve the turnouts on A&B line to obtain more clearance between track and switch machine.


Six turnouts on the main line were improved by extension of attachment sleepers.


Some of these had to be by removing to opposite side because of lack space such as tree or house.


Fifth try of Koppel


After improving the blower nozzle in smoke room, Koppel tested to drive. The result was very good !
