If PARABOOT shoes are designed to last - some even say they are indestructible - they are nonetheless appreciative of a little care．

First of all, try not to wear the same pair for more than two days in a row.

When your shoes are wet, do not leave them to dry in front of any form of heating as this may crack the leather. Instead, allow them to dry naturally.

Leather, a living material "par excellence", requires a minimum of care.

However, to keep your PARABOOT in top condition we suggest that prior to polishing your shoes with PARABOOT natural beeswax, wipe them with a damp cloth.

Finally, in order to, maintain the shape of your PARABOOT, we recommend the use of a shoehorn and shoe-trees.

PARABOOT will be grateful for this special attention and will look and feel better with each passing day.

●濡らしてしまった時は、ひび割れ防止のため暖房器具の前では乾かさないで、 自然乾燥させてください。

●最良のコンディションを保つために、天然のBEEWAXを含んだシュー・クリームを 使用し、湿り気のある布で磨いてください。

●型崩れ防止のために、シュー･ホーン、シュー･ツリーの利用をお勧めします。

※BEEWAXとは、蜜蝋からできているワックスでPARABOOT専用の物もありますが、 手に入りやすい「Cordonnerie anglaise」製のものもおそらく中身は同じです。 （とはいってもこちらもその辺の靴屋さんにはありませんが。）
こちらの場合、PARABOOTのバーガンディ色にはワインという色があいます。

●ホコリや泥をきれいにブラシで落とします。 特に、ソール、エッジ（コパ）のホコリ、泥を落としましょう。

●クリーナーを使い、こびりついたヨゴレを落とします。 あまり強く擦りつけると色落ちしますので、軽く擦り取って下さい。

●靴の色に合わせたクリームを全体に薄く擦り込んで下さい。 ヒール、エッジ（コパ）も同様に。

●クリームを全体に塗り込んだ後ブラシで全体を磨いて下さい。

●仕上げに柔らかい布で磨き、ツヤを出して下さい。

＊光沢をもっと出したい場合は、クリームの代わりにポリッシュをお使い下さい。
＊ソールの表面も泥を落とし、無色のクリームを擦り込んで下さい。

シェルコードバンの手入れ方法

●靴の形を崩さず長持ちさせる為に毎日シューツリーを入れてくだい。

●湿った濡れ過ぎていない布で靴をきれいにしてください。

●靴を滑らかにするために磨く前にブラシをかけてください。

●アレン・エドモンズのコードパンクリームを少々、全体に塗り込んでください。

●柔らかいコットンかフランネルの布で、好みの光沢がでるまで磨き込んでください。

●時折、光沢を更に出す為に黒の光沢剤（ポリッシュ）で磨いてください。

Don'ts

Do not subject Cordovan shoes to any drying heat. They must dry naturally when wet or heat will crack the leather.

Do not attempt to clean with any petroleum distillates or cleaning fluids. This will make shining the shoe impossible.

Do not use any spray shines or aerosol type waterproofs.

Do not use a neutral polish color as it will leave a white film as you wear your cordovan shoes．

Do's

AIways clean shoes before polishing with a damp soft cloth. If shoes are muddy, let them dry thoroughly and brush the dirt off when dry.

Try to wear shoes with a day of rest between wearing to allow moisture to dry out. Shoes will last much longer.

Only use a good stain wax shoe polish. We recommend KIWI dark tan. Avoid extreme red or light colors which tend to give a two-tone look at points where polish gathers.

Use a light coat of polish. Apply it sparingly. It will shine better and avoid a build up of soft polish which is difficult to shine and collects dirt and dust.

Use a shoe tree that fits the shoes and avoids stretching in length as this makes the fitting change considerably in the vegetable tanned cordovan leather.

If something has dropped or spilled on your shoe making it hard to shine, wrap a wet rag around your index finger and rub the polish into the leather in a series of circular motions until the brightness returns.

●コードバン・シューズが濡れてしまった場合、ひび割れ防止のため、 暖房器具を使ってかわかさず、自然乾燥させてください。

●石油系薬品、シュー・クリーナー等は輝きを損なう恐れが ありますので使用しないでください。

●エアゾール系防水スプレーは使用しないでください。

●白い膜が残る事がありますので、無色のシュー・ポリッシュは使用しないでください。

お薦めする事

●泥がついた場合は完全に乾かし、ブラシで汚れを落としてから、湿り気のある 柔らかい布でふいてください。

●湿り気をとるため、靴は１日おきに履く事を心がけてください。 また、これは靴を長持ちさせる事にもつながります。

●良質のシュー・ポリッシュを使用してください。「KIWI」のダーク・タンをお薦めします。 極端な赤や明るい色は色むらになる恐れがありますので使用は避けてください。
※「KIWI」の茶色のシュー・ポリッシュはよく見かけますが、ダーク・タンは めったにありません。色は、茶色よりも明るくオールデンのバーガンディ色には このダーク・タンが最適です。

●シュー・ポリッシュは少量を伸ばして使用します。 つけ過ぎは輝きを損なうばかりでなく、逆に汚れや埃をつけてしまう可能性があります。

●型崩れ防止のため、シュー・ツリーを使用してください。

●汚れがついてしまった場合、人差し指に湿った布を巻き、シュー・ポリッシュを靴に 円を描くようにして、すり込む事で輝きが戻ります。

Keep shoes clean
A day's hard work clogs up your shoes ventilating pores. after work each day, give your Red Wing's a 30 second rubdown with a damp cloth to clean grime, dust and other soils.

Heavy soils should be handled with Red　Wing Leather Cleaner or by sponging with water and a mild soap.

Dry'em slow and easy
Good leather, When exposed to direct heat after being in water will become dry and brittle. Never dry shoes by a stove or radiator. Instead, wipe dry with a towel, stuff with wadded newspaper and leave overnight in an open airy place. Also, shoes dry faster on their sides than if they are standing up.

Protect your leather
The following Red Wing protection coatings are recommended for use in caring for these shoes.
- Red Wing Leather Protector as a barrier against water and the elements.
- Silicone preparations such as Red Wing Silicone are also hightly recommended.
- Shoe creme - applied frequently will also give good protection. Do not use shoe creme on suede or nubuck leather.
- Do not use Red Wing Leather Cleaner on waterproof leathers.
- Preparations using an oil base are recommended only on welted, oil-tanned boots.

●しつこい汚れには、「Red Wing Leather Cleaner」を使うか マイルド・ソープとスポンジを使い水で洗ってください。

●濡れた場合にストーブやラジエターにより直接乾かすとひび割れを おこす可能性がありますので、これらは使用しないでください。 かわりに、タオル等で湿り気をとり、新聞紙をつめて風通しの良い場所で 一晩乾かして下さい。 尚、靴を立てかけておけば一層良く乾きます。

●靴の保護には以下のグッズをお勧めします。
- 防水、汚れ防止のために「Red Wing Leather Protector」をお薦めします。
- 「Red Wing Silicone」（シリコンスプレー、シリコンオイル、シリコン入りミンクオイル）も お勧めします。
- 保護のためシュー・クリームもお使い下さい。 （シュー・クリームはスエード、ヌバックには使用しないでください。）
- WaterProof（防水）レザー、スエード、ヌバックには、「Red Wing Leather Cleaner」は 使用しないでください。
- オイルは、オイルド・レザーにのみご使用下さい。

Danner Boots are designed to give you maximum comfort, support and durability in an extremely functional boot. With a little care, these boots will give you a great deal of use.

1) Be careful near fire. Sole leathers and cements are very sensitive to heat; As sensitive as your own skin!
Don't use any heat when drying the boots or applying boot Dressing.

2) On our leather boot, apply Danner Boot Dressing lightly but frequently to all upper leather, except linings, to keep the leather in new condition.
Allow the boots to dry. Using only about one teaspoon per boots, work the Dressing into the leather with your bare hand, and wipe off any excess.
Again, don't use any heat when drying the boots or applying boot Dressing.

3) On our models made with Cordura(R) nylon outsides, you may wish to use Scotchgard(R) Fabric Protection to keep them looking like new.
Reapply after each washing.

4) On your models made with Goretex(R) linings, no waterproofing should ever be needed as all seams are factory sealed.
Clean the boots with a wet rag, inside and out, and apply Danner Boot Dressing to the leather parts.

That is all the care these boots will need.

ダナー・ブーツは最大の快適性と耐久性を提供する機能的なブーツです。 最小限のメンテナンスでご使用頂く事ができます。

●高温を避けて保管してください。
ソール部の革やセメント部分は（あなたの肌のように）熱に非常に敏感です。 従ってブーツを乾かす際はいかなる熱器具もご使用にならないで下さい。

●皮革製のブーツにおいては少量のダナー・ブーツ・ドレッシングを 使用してください。
これをライニングを除くアッパー全体に適宜ご使用頂く事で、 新品の状態に保つことができます。
ブーツに対して小さじ１杯程度のドレッシングを素手にとり、 革部分につけてから十分磨きこんでください。 また、ドレッシングを使用した時も乾かす際に熱器具等は ご使用にならないで下さい。

●外側にコーデュラ・ナイロンを使用しているモデルの場合、 スコッチガード繊維用プロテクションをご使用頂くことができます。
これをお手入れ毎にご使用頂くことで新品の状態に保つことができます。

※スコッチガードとは3M社のカーペットや布地のための樹脂系プロテクターで 防水再加工等に使用します。

●ゴアテックス・ライニングを使用しているモデルの場合には、 出荷時全ての縫い目を密封処理しているため防水処理等は一切必要ありません。
お手入れには外側、内側とも湿った布をご使用下さい。 また、皮革部分にはダナー・ブーツ・ドレッシングを使用してください。

ブーツに必要なお手入れはこれだけです。
