I saw this doll in a display case in Dublin.
She seems to exhibit a very Irish quality, don't you think?
"I wonder why you like such a doll.", my mother has sometimes
said. "Why did you take pictures of these dolls?", my friends
have often asked to me.
Yes! I have often taken pictures of dolls in display cases on my travels
in England.
I don't know exactly why, but I guess it's simply that I like dolls. That
is the reason!
However, I am too old to buy dolls, so I sometimes capture them on film
so I can keep a record in my albums.
When I saw the pictures which I took in Ireland, I found out that there
were more pictures of dolls than on usual trips. I seemed to be attracted
by something.
Some child dolls look so life like as if they are about to walk. Dwalves
wearing pointed hats seem to have their own special characters. The old
man and woman sitting together in a cosy affectionate manner. They seem to exude great
warmth. Maybe, all of them were not born in Ireland. However, every doll
living in the display cases looks truely Irish, don't you agree?
