Hampstead and Alexandra Palace are John M's favourite place. He lives in Norwich.
This summer, when he went to London to see his mother with his daughter, Claire, he visited again.
In this page, I'll show you his favourite scenery in London.
First, they saw his old primary school, which is now an ethnic spiritual centre(upper right). This place holds a lot of memories. Then, they went to Spurs football stadium which is just across the road(middle right. Lower right is the Spurs mascot). From there, they caught a bus to Alexander palace. His secondary school used to be there, but now it has been demolished.
Thus, the day started out well.
John M. likes the view from Alexandra Palace very much. However, the day was very hot and humid, so the view wasn't so great. I'm sorry!

Three shots of Alexandra Palace. Upper : the view over north London.
Unfortunately, it was obscured by a heat haze.
Lower right : There is a TV tower.l

He asked Claire if she minded visiting Highgate cemetery, she agreed to go if she could do some shopping later. They went back on the bus to Wood Green to catch the Tube. The Northern line splits at Camden Town.
While waiting for the train, he suddenly played the odds.
"If the next train is for Highgate we'll go there if not we'll go to Hampstead for clothes shopping."
The next train went to Hampstead, so Claire won!
Therefore, they went to Hampstead first.

Claire likes Hampstead because of the clothes shops and the chance to see
celebrities, last time she spotted Emma Bunton from the Spice Girls.

After a tour around Hampstead, they returned to Camden Town then off to Highgate.
