vdB38 is a small sized diffused and reflection nebula at 2.2 degrees NNW of gamma Ori (Bellatrix). The nebula has a size of about 15 arc minutes and is emitting by a central star with 5.7th magnitude. You can find the nebula out at the southwest edge of Angel Fish Nebula, vdB38 can be taken simultaneously in Angel Fish photograph.
